Even if everything seems to be going well for the team, they will know the value of points in big tournaments like this. Due to a narrow loss to the Netherlands in the 2022 Men’s T20 World Cup, Proteus lost its place in the semi-finals.
While Bavuma’s team will try to make amends in this regard, the Netherlands will look to raise their level of play after the defeats in India.

The Dutch are a much better team than their results show and they will want to prove it in Dharamsala. They want to take inspiration from Afghanistan, who beat England at the Cricket World Cup on Sunday.

After defeats in the first two games, the Dutch are desperate to prove that they are not here just to flatten the numbers. However, it is unlikely that Proteus will give them the right to brag at two ICC events a second time.
At last year’s Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia, the Netherlands stunned South Africa by 13 rounds and eliminated the competition’s favourites. But Temba Bakuma’s side seem to have transformed this time around, proving their pedigree with victories over Sri Lanka and Australia.

Dharamsala is a new location for both sides, and they will look to previous results for clues. While spinners were used in the match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, England used a correct flip lane in the second match.
